WEB 289: Internet Technologies Project

This video and website were the deliverables for the final project of the Web & UX Design program capstone course. The course focused on feedback and iterative development of portfolio design and branding, implementation, and presentation, with minimal instructor support.

Destination Magazine Spread

For this "destination" multi-part project, we were tasked with creating a vector art illustration, practicing photo editing, and creating a magazine spread.

I selected Okinawa, Japan, a place I once lived and is dearest to my heart. The Shisa Dogs were drawn in Adobe Fresco and refined in Adobe Illustrator.  Photos were edited in Adobe Photoshop, the magazine spread was sketched in Adobe Fresco, and the spread was assembled in Adobe InDesign.

This may be my favorite project I worked on while in school, both because the location is dear to me and I loved shining a spotlight on this lesser-known, beautiful destination, and doing my best to make it shine.

Luminére Day Spa

For the Luminere Day Spa project, we were tasked with creating a brand identity for a luxury spa.

Deliverables included a logo, multi-page spa menu, website mockups, and social media posts--created using skills from lessons in Adobe Illlustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

This was one of the projects that seeded a great appreciation for logo designers skills and effort that must be practiced to improve.

Healthy Snack Campaign

For this multi-part healthy snack campaign project, we were tasked with conducting market research and developing a logo for a fictional snack brand of our choice. We then developed die-cut package designs in Adobe Illustrator and created snack packaging as well as company vehicle mockups using Adobe Photoshop.

Lastly, we were introduced to Adobe Animate and tasked with creating a minimalistic advertisement animation with a clear CTA.
